LEAGUE AGE

• Little League International institutes boundary requirements for all players in order to maintain a community-based hometown spirit for each local league.  A player must comply with the boundary requirements.  
• A prospective player must either (1) attend a school located within the boundary or (2) reside within the boundary.

• Little League International institutes a League Age requirement for all players, that essentially refers to a player’s assigned age group. 
• A prospective player must comply with League Age requirements for the particular Division.

• A player that was a rostered member of a GJBA team during the spring 2023 season and/or the fall 2023 season. 
• RMJBL does not institute a boundary requirement, and therefore a significant portion of the 2023 GJBA membership, which includes a wide range of player ages, would be considered ineligible for Golden Little League under this criteria, unless boundary regulations were waived for existing 2023 GJBA members.
• The GLLBOD will therefore process and submit on behalf of a qualifying player an official boundary waiver request form to Little league International.  The GLLBOD has been given verbal assurances from Little League administrators and officials regarding this particular topic and expects Little League International to grant approval of these particular waivers for only the spring 2024 season and only for a qualifying GJBA Transition Player.

• A player that was a rostered member of a GJBA team during the spring 2023 season and/or the fall 2023 season. 
• General Information
• The GLLBOD is committed to protecting and preserving all existing 2023 GJBA members during the 4-year transition to Golden Little League, and has therefore developed the following policies to allow for special accommodations for only these particular players during the registration process for Golden Little League. 
• Early Registration Access & Reduced Fee
• Registration will open at a reduced rate to GJBA Transition Players approximately 1 week prior to the general public. 
• League Age Determination
• Regular Season Participation (2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 seasons) - Reference Modified Chart
• An inherent 4-month difference exists between the typical Little League age chart and Rocky Mountain Junior Baseball League (RMJBL) age chart.  The use of the Standard Little League 2024 Age Chart, if adopted by Golden Little League without modification during a transition phase, would result in approximately 33% of GJBA players unacceptably losing an entire year of Little League Baseball eligibility.
• Therefore, Golden Little League has developed an age-based transition plan to specifically eliminate penalizing existing 2023 GJBA members affected by the age chart differences, by utilizing a Modified Golden Little League Age Chart to calculate a player’s League Age for all intra-league regular season games during the first four transition seasons (2024, 2025, 2026, 2027).  The modified LL age chart would cease to exist starting in 2028.

• Post Season Participation (Postseason All-Star Team Tournament) - Reference Standard Chart
• Little League International utilizes strict rules & regulations regarding League Age determinations for post season district, state, regional, and world series level All-Star team competitions at each age level.  Any Golden Little League player offered an All-Star team roster spot on a Golden Little League All-Star Team at any age level shall conform with the League Age Determination as listed and required in the Standard Little League Age Chart.  Parents are advised that the Modified Golden Little League Age Chart may not be utilized to determine League Age for Golden Little League All-Star team participants.
