Golden Junior Baseball Association (GJBA) typically partners with North Jefferson Junior Baseball Association (NJJBA) for its Fall Ball program for ages 13U and 14U.
The goal of the Fall Ball program is to provide players with more game time, possibly learn new positions, try something different, enjoy stress free baseball, and play the game for the pure fun of playing. We limit the number of runs scored per inning (to keep the game moving) and don't keep standings. However, we do have an end of season tournament to give the season a little competitive flare at its conclusion. We consider the Fall Ball program our “Spring Training.”
Fall Ball Player Age Groups
13U-14U PROGRAM: This program is for all players moving into the 13U and up to the 14U program in the following spring season.
Players will register at the age they will be playing during the following spring season – the age your player will be on May 1st, of the following year.
Games & Practices
Fall Ball games typically begin at the end of August and continue through October. No games will be played on Labor Day weekend. Barring weather cancellations, each team will play eight (8) games, and there may or may not be double headers. There is an end of season tournament for all 13U-14U Kid-Pitch teams to end the season. The tournament is scheduled at the end of October and is counted as one of the 8 games.
Games will be held at Arvada fields, typically Youth Memorial Park, Pioneer Fields, Long Lake, and Lutz fields for 13U-14U Kid-Pitch teams.
We allow for one outdoor practice field day per team per week. Practices are at the coach’s discretion as field availability is limited.
Registration
Fall Ball Registration will open in mid-Summer. More information to come as the dates get closer.
